DayFit Privacy policy

Effective October 13, 2026

The short version

You can use DayFit without signing in. If you don't sign in, we don't take your name or contact details. If you do, we keep your account email, your nickname, the workout summary your friends see, and a copy of your logs on our server. Survey answers, workout logs, and how much you use each feature are collected under a random number, so we can't tell who you are.

Sign-in and your account

You sign in with Apple, Google, or Kakao (which ones you see depends on your country). When you do, that company gives us your account ID and email address, plus the name and profile photo link on that account. We don't use the name or photo in the app, and we never receive your password. We only use this to tell who's signed in, and it's stored on Supabase (Supabase Inc.) servers in the Seoul region. Tap 'Delete account' in Settings and your account, friends, rooms, and saved logs are removed right away. Logs on this device stay where they are.

Friends and rooms

Once you sign in, you can add friends with a code or link and join rooms. Friends and people in the same room can see your nickname, whether you worked out today, your streak, today's muscle groups and set count, the weight you lifted, workout time, calories burned working out, how many days you trained this week, and when you last opened the app. Weight change and today's calories and protein are only shown if you turn them on in your sharing settings. If you leave them off, they aren't even sent to the server. This summary is stored on Supabase servers in the Seoul region and removed when you delete your account. If you add a profile photo, friends and people in your rooms can see it, and anyone who has the photo's link can view it. Chat messages you send in rooms and to friends are stored on the same servers, and they're removed when the room is deleted, when you unfriend someone, or when you delete your account. In chats, how far you've read shows up as an unread count next to each message. You can block or report anyone who bothers you.

Keeping your records

When you're signed in, your logs are kept on our server so you can bring them back on a new phone. That copy is everything logged on this device: survey answers and signature, nickname, weight and body composition you entered yourself, meals, workout logs, and settings. Values read from Apple Health and photos are not included. It's stored on Supabase servers in the Seoul region and removed right away when you delete your account.

Information the app handles

Your survey answers (sex, birth year, height, weight, goal, workout experience, sore spots, how you heard about us, signature, and so on) and your weight, InBody, meal, and workout logs. You entered all of it yourself, and we use it to calculate your routine and meals. Of these, the items listed under 'Workout logs and usage stats' below are also sent to our server.

Where and how long we keep it

Your logs are stored in the app's storage on this device. If you said we could collect them, your workout logs and usage stats are also kept on Supabase (Supabase Inc.) servers in the Seoul region, for as long as we run the service. If you don't sign in, your signature and nickname never leave the device. Photos are never sent, signed in or not. If you delete the app or tap 'Reset everything' in Settings, the logs on the device are erased right away. What's been collected on the server still remains. If you want it deleted, copy your ID with 'Copy device ID' in Settings and email it to us.

Export logs

Tap 'Export logs' in Settings and your logs are made into a single file. Where you save that file and who you send it to is up to you.

Apple Health

If you turn on the connection, we read your weight and step count from Apple Health, and if you turn on export, we write your finished workouts (duration and estimated calories burned) to Apple Health. The values we read are stored only on this device and aren't sent anywhere. We don't use them for ads or any other purpose. You can turn this off anytime on the connection screen in the Progress tab or in iPhone Settings.

Camera and photos

We use the camera only when you make a proof pic, and from your library we get only the one photo you pick. DayFit doesn't store photos. The photo you take or pick isn't kept in the app or on any outside server, and it's gone when you close the proof pic screen. If you tap 'Save photo', the proof pic you made is saved to your Photos app, and where you post it and who you send it to is up to you.

Workout logs and usage stats

The first time you open the app, we ask if it's OK to collect these, and we only collect them from people who say yes. We use them to fix and polish the app and to build things like features that compare you with similar people. We collect three things. First, your survey answers: sex, birth year, height, weight, goal and goal weight, timeline, workout experience and lifts you've tried, where and how often you work out, muscles you want to grow, sore spots, and how you heard about us (including anything you typed in). Second, your workout and body logs: the exercises, sets, weights, and reps you did each day, calories burned in cardio, mini workout counts, the times you started and finished workouts (the time of day), the weight and InBody numbers you entered, your meal log (food names, calories, protein), your current routine and favorite exercises, the weights the app suggested and that day's calorie goal, your meal plan and go-to foods, and the badges you've earned. Third, usage stats: when you opened the app and how long you used it, which screens and features you used and how many times, what you typed when searching for exercises or foods, your notification settings and the notifications you tapped to open the app, where you opened the payment screen from, and crash records (a code for the cause and where in the app it happened). Along with these, we send a random ID assigned to this device, the app version, device type and iOS version, language and time zone, your app settings, and whether you're subscribed and to which plan. We don't send your name, contact info, nickname, signature, photos, or anything read from Apple Health. You can turn this off or on anytime under 'Send workout logs and usage stats' in Settings. The random ID is kept only on this device, and the same ID is used even if you reinstall the app on the same device (so we don't count one person twice). If you want what's already been collected deleted, copy your ID with 'Copy device ID' in Settings and email it to us. We'll delete the records for that ID. What we collect is kept on Supabase (Supabase Inc.) servers in the Seoul region, for as long as we run the service.

Payments

Apple handles subscription payments. DayFit doesn't receive payment details like card numbers and only checks whether you're subscribed. If you're signed in, we save when your subscription runs until on your account, so you get Gold on any device where you sign in with that account.

Notifications

Workout reminders are scheduled on this device. If you're signed in and allow notifications, we keep this device's notification address on our server so we can tell you when a friend nudges you, and those are delivered through Apple's push service. Signing out removes that address.

Information we give other companies

There are no ad trackers in DayFit. Storage is handled by Supabase, sign-in goes through the company you choose (Apple, Google, or Kakao), and nudge notifications go through Apple's push service. Nothing else is shared with any other company.

About Yamipay

If you tap the Yamipay banner in the Meals tab and go to the App Store, Yamipay's policy applies from there. Your DayFit logs aren't passed to Yamipay.

Children

Sign-in and friend features aren't available to anyone under 14. We don't offer weight-loss plans to anyone under 19.

If this policy changes

We'll let you know through an app update and on this screen.
